We are established pioneers and experts in the supply of a wide range of natural whole food that includes dried fruit, nuts, pulses, grains, spices, and ingredients you may never have heard of!

No GMOs
We stock over 2,600 natural and whole foods, and are the biggest specialist natural foods importer and distributor in the UK. Community Foods’ trading expertise means that we are able to offer products and services to a range of mainstream grocery and niche sectors as the demand for healthy, vegetarian or "different" foodstuffs increases. Around 60% of our business is in “conventional” crops or products, and 40% is organic, including Fairtrade. This reflects much of the pioneering work we have done in bringing new, organic products to the market. We will NOT have genetically modified products in our business.

Our major customers are other traders, manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors and large packers. Given our expertise and established credentials in our markets, we offer a sales and marketing service on an exclusive basis for a number of brands seeking representation in the UK and Europe. Our traders have more than 60 years combined experience of trading in commodities and branded goods from all around the world.

Traders must travel
All our traders have strong links with the supply base simply because they travel! Since the inception of Community, we have built relationships with growers, producer groups and processors to ensure that we can supply to specification an increasing range of goods. Our teams travel regularly to meet their key suppliers and in conjunction with the technical team have worked in close relationship with our suppliers to ensure that the product and factories comply with customer requirements in the UK. Such is the strength and experience of our supplier relationships that we are successful exporters of product as well as importers.

Product Pioneers
We have pioneered the availability of many crops including organic sultanas, figs, hazelnuts and apricots - as just some of the examples of the projects we have been involved in.
We have helped introduce new pest control and residue control tests to many of the suppliers we have worked with, improving quality and consistency of product over time.
