November '08: Organic Meltdown

Deforestation contributes more than 20% of green house gas emissions. Organic Meltdown Chocolate Bars present the ‘Sweet Solution’ to climate change. For every bar sold, Organic Meltdown chocolate in conjunction with the World Land Trust saves a tropical forest tree from being destroyed forever.

Consumers can even log onto the Organic Meltdown website to see their tree using Google Earth!

Q. How can each bar of Organic Meltdown save 1 tree?
A. Organic Meltdown work with the WLT to donate funds each month to purchase land which is in danger of being destroyed or logged for farming. The WLT audits each piece of land bought to determine the amount of trees on each acre and Organic Meltdown then assign each tree to one bar by a unique code found in each wrapper.

So… not only is Meltdown Chocolate Organic and Fairtrade, but it’s great for the environment too.

November '08: Eco-Balloons

A world first! The latex used in the manufacture of these high quality balloons is sourced in conformance with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) regulations that ensure we are not contributing to deforestation and under fairly traded conditions. Its producers have received a fair trade premium to help improve their living and working conditions.

100% BIO-DEGRADABLE Eco-Balloons are made from natural latex, tree sap that naturally breaks down when exposed to light and air. Decomposition of a latex balloon takes approximately 6 months.

…and if your compost needs it, you can throw the balloon box on it too! Because our boxes are made from 100% FSC certified board and use vegetable-based inks, they can be recycled or composted with your normal garden waste! Amazing!

Bespoke and bulk quantities are available to order – minimum quantity 500 balloons. 2 weeks from order to delivery. Logos are printed in one colour only. A choice of one sided or double sided print is available at no additional cost.
