Community is an active member of the Organic Trade Board, an industry body formed in 2009 to represent the interests of the organic trade. The not for profit organization aims to promote organic trade in the UK and to provide clear and consistent messages for the industry. Much of the positive work the organic industry does is not heard, can be misrepresented or overlooked and the OTB acts as a unifying voice for organic business, promoting its values and benefits.

Paul Moore, Marekting Director at Community says “Organic licensing bodies such as the Soil Association are good at communicating to consumers, but not necessarily good at presenting the views of the industry as a whole. The OTB is a medium which allows our industry to act together to ensure a clear message is heard concerning organic business. For the first time, our industry is meeting as one body and voice to concentrate on achieving our jointly declared goal of growing our business sector by over £1 Billion in 5 years."
