INTRODUCTION

Community Foods Limited was created in 1971 and is a major supplier of dried fruit, nuts, seeds, pulses, and other ambient stable ingredients to the UK food industry, including a number of market leading brands. With ingredients sales having grown by over 100% since 2009 thanks to the introduction of new suppliers and new customers, Community Foods is one of the largest suppliers of our type of ingredients to the UK market. Community Foods is also a pre-wholesaler as well as acting as agents and brand holders with a portfolio of organic and natural brands, including Crazy Jack Organic, Sanchi and Tarantella and operates a packing and dried fruit reprocessing plant in support of these business sectors.

The individual must be an articulate, highly motivated, problem solver as well as someone who can work well on their own or in a team.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Working within the Commercial team, you will be responsible for growing sales of our premium soya milk - Bonsoy - within the UK cafe and coffee shop sector. With the growth in dairy alternatives booming this is an exciting time to get involved with the brand.

You will be tasked with growing existing accounts sales, but we expect the majority of your time to be spent chasing down new business. You will work closely with the Brands Director to achieve our ambitious growth targets.

It will be important that you can influence sales at both consumer outlet level and with major distributors. As such we expect you to be out and about for most of the week, although we would like to see you in our Essex office at least once a week.

While Bonsoy will be your number one priority, you will be able to assess the potential for other products in our portfolio within this area and sell those in accordingly.

Who we're looking for:

The ideal candidate will already have contacts within one or more of the dairy/coffee/out-of-home distribution channels and will be able to use these to hit the ground running with appointments and results. This position will suit someone who is dynamic and keen to make a name for themselves.

You need to be numerate, with excellent communication and presentation skills. You will enjoy travelling around the country meeting customers at all levels, while exhibiting a good level of self-sufficiency.

REQUIREMENTS

Education and qualifications: Good Standard of Education.

Skills and abilities: Ability to use analysis, reporting, and account forecasting to contribute to making informed business decisions. Confidence in taking ownership of the relationships with some of our most important business customers to accelerate the growth of the business through broadening and developing further business relationships with strategically large customers within the UK.

Excellent communication skills including persuasion, negotiation and relationship management.

An ability to create and implement and defined commercial strategy that promotes profitable growth within your portfolio.

Be able to travel nationally when required.

Good Working Knowledge / Experience of: As a National Sales Manager you must hold an excellent understanding of business imperatives for sales planning, sales target setting and analysis of performance against targets.

Commercially astute, with excellent knowledge of the FMCG sector.

Excellent Customer Care skills with the ability to make everyone concerned, valued. Solution driven with excellent sales skills.
